The YWCA is the largest and oldest women’s organization in the country, serving over 2 million women, girls and their families. YWCAs around the nation provide essential programs such as domestic violence services, job training, financial empowerment, racial justice, and early childhood education, to name a few. This fun event will help raise awareness of our programs and the critical funds needed to keep helping women and their families in our community.
Jake’s American Grille and Boiler Room Bar is conveniently located near the Van Ness Metro station.
After 6:00pm there is free parking for Scandal premiere party-goers at the SunTrust bank.

The beautiful stars of Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black” sat front row and enjoyed the festivities surrounding Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. One of the main actresses, Uzo Aduba (also known as “Crazy Eyes”) caught my attention when she arrived at the Vivienne Tam fashion show wearing a bright red A-line dress with black honey-comb designs. Uzo’s red hot look is appropriate to wear during office hours as well as after-work events. To achieve this look for work, shop for knee-length dress that won’t rise when sitting at your desk. I’ve provided a few work-appropriate dresses below from ModCloth and Macy’s. Don’t forget to shop outlet stores as well if you’re looking for a bargain.
