How to be A*cute During the Polar Vortex

The Polar Vortex is making the most notorious comeback since Britney Spears. But, you don’t have to let Old Man Winter steal your style. Layer up using key pieces that will take you from the office to a night out on the town in an instant.
Blanket sweaters are on trend for casual outfits, but wear yours over an LBD with patterned tights and heeled booties for a sophisticated look that will keep you warm. The key to keeping this look together is the monotone color scheme. Despite what anyone says, black will always be the new black.

Hot Summer Deals at Zara

by Sherria

I usually hate shopping in midtown due to the high volume of tourist traffic. However, on Sunday I had absolutely nothing to do so I made my way to Herald Square. After hitting up the usual suspects: H&M, ALDO, and Forever 21, I decided to stop in Zara. I usually don’t spend too much time in Zara because a pair of pants can run you up to $80. But I saw a sign in the window, SALE, SALE, SALE!!! That immediately caught my eye. I love a good sale. I must say, as soon as I walked in I noticed that almost everything in the store was $20 to $40. I bought a pair of slacks, shirt, and a pair of shoes. Warning: You will enjoy the sale, but not the line for the dressing room. Below are some A*cute picks for work and play. Enjoy.

For work:

New York is experiencing a heat wave and this is the perfect dress to wear to work when it's hot outside. The material is light and the length is long enough to say "I'm ready for the board meeting" while still looking young and hip. (Zara Draped Dress, $39.99)

For play:

I love the splashes of color in this dress. This look is perfect for a summer day date or a night out at a lounge with the girls. (Zara Tulip-Skirt dress, $49.99)
