Thirsty Thursday | These boots were made for walking

by Jackie

A good pair of boots is essential for fall and winter. Get a head start and start collecting them before the summer is over.   By planning ahead, you will have time to compare prices and get what you really need and want instead of rushing when the season changes.  Dress them up or down, wear them often and wear them well.

I plan on adding these to my collection over the next few months:

These military-inspired booties are a statement piece. An A-line skirt or cigarette pants would look great with these. ("Owen" - GUESS, $139)

A wedge heel is key for comfort without compromising style. Take a break from classic black by injecting brown boots into your shoe wardrobe. Brown is just as neutral/versatile as black. ("Mazzing" - Steven by Steve Madden, $199)

Over-the-knee boots stepped onto the scene last fall and have no plans on leaving any time soon. Do not pair with a mini-skirt; you will go from haute to hoochie in seconds if you do. Opt for an A-line skirt/ dress and tights or cigarette pants. ("Braeden" - Dolce Vita, $305)
